Relaxing Cycling on the Via Verde

This completely organized trip begins and ends in Valencia. From this bike-friendly city, Richard takes you to the mountainous interior of Teruel and from there you cycle back to Valencia in 5 days. The route follows the former railway line from Ojos Negros towards the Mediterranean Sea, over old railway bridges and through tunnels, all in a vast landscape of mountains, orchards, and charming small villages. At the end of the journey, you can choose to explore Valencia and the surrounding area further.

If you want to cycle one or two days longer, you can also start in Albarracín (considered by many the most beautiful village in Spain). You then start your journey with a bit more elevation gain and later join with the via verde. This extended version of the route can be seen in the video.*

We know Richard as someone who takes his profession seriously and leaves nothing to chance. You can get a good bike and a route book full of information. Richard makes sure that you only have to pedal, and considering all the downhill action on the route, this isn’t a big ask.
