Cycling in Pyrenees

The Pyrenees provide a beautiful area for cycling. Here you will experience a variety of rugged mountaintops, green rolling hills, deep gorges, and interesting flora and fauna. What is most striking is the vast difference in both landscape and culture from the French side, as the Spanish side is sunnier, drier, less-touristy, and much less populated. In short, the Spanish side is much quieter and more relaxed than the French side.

For road cyclists, there are many famous mountain passes and “cols” on the border with France where you can climb up to 2,000 meters. For mountain bikers, the possibilities are endless – especially in the so-called “Zona Zero.” This is the area around the town called Ainsa, which has in a short time become a favorite destination for mountain bikers from all over the world.
