The Via Verde Ojos Negros, not far from the city of Valencia, is one of the most beautiful Vias Verdes in all of Spain. You can do part of this route as a day trip, organized by the cycling company Spainish.

A Relaxing Bike Trip from the Inland to the Coast
For those who don’t yet know it, a Via Verde is a former railroad converted into a network of walking/cycling paths. The number of these popular car-free nature trails is rapidly increasing and now covers about 2,500 kilometers. If you are in or near the city of Valencia for a few days, you should highly consider cycling on the Ojos Negros for a day. Leaving the hustle and bustle of the city behind, you will quickly find yourself surrounded by beautiful nature.
If you want to make it easy on yourself, you can use the services of the Spainish cycling company, operated by Dutchman Richard van Kruchten. Richard provides good rental bikes, a description of the route and the sights along the way, and of course transport to Via Verde. You will be brought to a point on the route that gradually descends to the coast, making this day trip on the Via Verde a great option for families and less trained cyclists. If you want to make it a bit more challenging, you can cycle the same route but from the coast toward the interior.
