  • Day 1 – Alicante

    Alicante, with its sunny climate and beautiful beaches, is the perfect starting point for your coastal bike tour toward Valencia. On this first day, explore historical landmarks, sample local delicacies, and immerse yourself in the charm of this city. Alicante offers a fantastic blend of nature, culture, and gastronomy to kick off your cycling adventure.

  • Day 2 – Alicante - Benidorm (57km, 720m+)

    This bike tour begins along the stunning beaches of Alicante, where you’ll cycle along the boulevard and enjoy breathtaking sea views. You’ll pass spectacular spots such as Playa de San Juan and El Campello. The day ends in Benidorm, once a small fishing village but now known as the vertical city, boasting impressive skyscrapers that form one of the most beautiful skylines in the world.

    The stretch from Alicante to Campello is fully covered by bike, while from Campello to Villajoyosa, you’ll take the street tram—a unique experience. Bicycles can be transported in groups of four without issues; larger groups will need to split up. The final segment from Villajoyosa to Albir takes you through a stunning landscape.

  • Day 3 – Benidorm - Javea (64km, 640m+)

    On this day, you’ll have the fantastic opportunity to cycle between the beach and the mountains. You’ll end in the historic town of Jávea, a place that’s easy to fall in love with. Its beaches and coves, charming town center, and exquisite gastronomy make it irresistible to visitors.

    This stage starts with a tram ride from Albir to Benissa, followed by a bike ride to Jávea through a stunning landscape that will keep surprising you at every turn.

  • Day 4 – Javea - Gandia (54km, 530m+)

    Today, you’ll cycle through a stunning marshland area, perfect for birdwatching and enjoying breathtaking views. Marjal de Oliva-Pego is a beautiful nature park in the Valencia region. Once a lake, the park now features a unique combination of wetlands and dune systems, located south of the Serpis River.

    You’ll end the day in Gandia, surrounded by hills and the Mediterranean Sea. This destination immerses you in the rich heritage left behind by history.

  • Day 5 – Gandia - Cullera (46km, 770m+)

    During this stage, you’ll witness stunning rock formations blending with typical Mediterranean vegetation. This varied landscape, filled with ravines, caves, and underground passages, creates a dramatic backdrop to the mountains.

    You’ll arrive in the Cullera area, surrounded by expansive rice fields. With its picturesque villages, beautiful cities, and scenic landscapes, Cullera is one of the gems of the region. As a coastal town, Cullera immerses you in the essence of the Mediterranean, boasting a classic Valencian atmosphere and pristine beaches.

  • Day 6 – Cullera - Valencia (54km, 450m+)

    This journey wouldn’t be complete without a visit to the spectacular Albufera Nature Park of Valencia, spanning 223 km² of rice fields, forests, and breathtaking sunsets. It’s an incredible place that invites you to take a peaceful stroll through the meadows of El Saler, where you can observe countless endemic species. Be sure to visit the fishing village of El Palmar, with its traditional Valencian huts, and savor the local specialty: the authentic Alli Pebre.

  • Day 7 – Valencia

    Today marks the end of your tour. You can opt to extend your stay with an extra night at the hotel, giving you more time to explore Valencia.

    Valencia offers a blend of impressive cultural heritage and architectural marvels. Discover historical landmarks such as the Valencia Cathedral, the Tribunal de las Aguas, La Lonja, the Torres de Serranos, the Plaza de Toros, and the Mercado Central. On the other hand, modernity is reflected in the Ciudad de las Artes y las Ciencias, an architectural and cultural complex designed by Santiago Calatrava and Félix Candela.

    Another iconic feature of Valencia is the Turia Riverbed, often referred to as the lungs of the city. Here, you can walk or cycle to your heart’s content!

  • When is the best time to travel to Valencia and Murcia (east coast)?
    • Valencia and the surrounding coastal region have a mild Mediterranean climate with many hours of sunshine.
      • Ideal months: March to June and September to November. During these periods, temperatures are very pleasant for cycling and it is usually dry.
      • Less suitable: July and August. It can become very hot then, especially inland. The winter months are generally mild, but can be more changeable and are less suitable for longer cycling days.

  • Can I also do this trip in reverse, from Valencia to Alicante?
    • Yes, this is possible in some cases. In principle, the route can be cycled in both directions, but in order to organise this properly, it must first be requested with us. We are happy to look at the possibilities with you.
  • How do I get to the starting point in Alicante?
    • You can reach Alicante from Valencia. This can be done by train, bus or private transfer.
      • From Valencia city centre, you travel by train to Alicante in approximately 2.45 hours (without transfers). The bus takes approximately 2.30 to 3.30 hours (with one or two transfers).
        Prefer speed and comfort? With a private transfer, you will be in Alicante in approximately 2.10 hours and this can be arranged through us.
      • From Valencia Airport, you reach Alicante by train in approximately 3 hours (one transfer – first metro, then train). By bus, the journey takes approximately 2.50 hours (with two transfers). A private transfer is also possible. This will take you to Alicante in approximately 2 hours and can be arranged through us.

  • What is the difficulty level of this cycling holiday?
    • Difficulty level 4 for touring holidays are cycling holidays for the experienced and well-trained touring cyclist. For cyclists using an e-bike, this tour is very manageable. There may be 1 or 2 days where the ride is somewhat longer and more demanding. On average, distances are between 50 and 70 kilometres per day and between 200 and 800 metres of elevation gain per day.
