Climate & when to cycle the Canary Islands?

When to cycle the Canary Islands?

The climate of the Canary Islands is unique. It is spring-like or summery all year round. The powerful influence of the sea ensures that it is never too hot. It should be noted, however, that there is a significant difference between the two sides of the islands. For example, Tenerife, La Palma, and Grand Canary all have a warmer and a cooler side. The warmer side is where you will find the leathery tourists roasting on the beach.

It is spring or summer

You can cycle on the Canary Islands all year round. The average temperature in the winter is about 20 degrees, while in the summer it stays around 30 degrees. Most cyclists visit the islands between November and May. In general, this time period offers mild and good weather, but there is always a chance that an ocean depression can occur, leading to significant amounts of wind and rain. Of course, during the winter months, the days are shorter and the evenings can get chilly.
