FAQs

About our cycling holidays

  • Who are our holidays suitable for?
    • Our cycling holidays are suitable for anyone who enjoys being active, from recreational e-bikers to sporty cyclists on road bikes or mountain bikes.
    • For each holiday, the difficulty level is clearly indicated with dots. In addition, in the itinerary you can see exactly how many kilometres you cycle per day. This allows you to judge for yourself what suits your level, nobody knows that better than you do.
    • Would you like to know more about the difficulty levels or types of bikes? Then have a look at ‘Frequently Asked Questions’, under the heading “About the cycling routes & bikes”.
    • Not sure whether a particular cycling holiday suits you? We are happy to look and think along with you!
  • What is a self-guided cycling holiday?
    • A self-guided cycling holiday is an individual cycling holiday without a guide, where you decide yourself when you depart, at what pace you cycle and where you stop along the way. Information about luggage transport and how you follow the route (navigation) can be found under ‘Frequently Asked Questions’, under the heading ‘On the road: support and practical matters’.
  • Do you offer group holidays?
    • No, we currently do not offer fixed-departure group holidays. However, we can create tailor-made group holidays. This is possible for groups of at least four people.

About the cycling routes & bikes

  • Which bikes can I rent?
    • The available bikes differ per holiday. For each holiday, under the heading ‘Prices & Accommodation’, you will find clear information about the bike types, such as e-bikes, trekking bikes, road bikes, gravel bikes or mountain bikes that specifically match that route.
  • Can I bring my own bike?
    • Yes, certainly. Our holidays do not require mandatory bike rental. You can simply bring your own bike. We offer rental bikes as an optional extra for those who prefer to rent a bike.
  • Do you also offer bike rental only?
    • No, we do not rent out bikes separately. Our bikes are only available as part of a complete cycling holiday.
  • How challenging are the cycling routes?
    • For each holiday, we clearly indicate what you can expect. Under the heading ‘Itinerary’, you can see exactly how many kilometres and altitude metres you cover per cycling day.
In addition, each holiday has a difficulty level (1–5). This is explained per holiday under the heading ‘Frequently Asked Questions’.
This allows you to judge for yourself which routes suit your level.
  • Are the routes safe and well signposted?
    • Our routes are carefully designed with attention to safety and comfort. Wherever possible, we use small back roads and quiet country lanes.
Are you cycling a vía verde? Then you ride completely car-free, on wide, safe paths that are extra well signposted along the way.
    • You will receive clear GPS routes from us that guide you step by step. In addition, you will receive an image of the route for each cycling day in your travel documents. Should anything be adjusted or change along the way, we try to inform you as clearly as possible in the travel documents you receive in advance.
  • How do I receive the routes? (GPS / app / paper booklet?)
    • You receive the routes via our Ride with GPS app. Using it is very easy:
      • You do not need to create an account or set up anything complicated.
      • You receive a link from us that you only need to click.
      • The route then opens automatically in the app.
      • You can also use the routes without an internet connection.
      • If you prefer, you can also transfer the routes to your own GPS device or navigation system.
    • We also explain all of this step by step in the travel documents, so you know exactly what to do. This allows you to set off with peace of mind.

Weather & travel period

  • What is the best time to travel?
    • The best time to travel depends strongly on the region of Spain you want to visit. Spain has many different climates: from mild winters on the coast to cooler summers in the north-west.
    • On our dedicated climate page you will find a clear overview per season and per region, so you can see at a glance where and when it is most pleasant to cycle.
    • View the best travel time per region here: Climate & when to cycle where in Spain
  • What if the weather is too bad to cycle?
    • If the weather changes or cycling is not safe (e.g. heavy rain, storm or an injury), we are happy to help. We can think along with you about:
      • an alternative route,
      • a rest day, or
      • a transfer to the next accommodation.

    (Note: additional costs may apply.)

Booking your trip

  • Are flights included in the price?
    • No, flights are not included.
We are happy to provide flight advice, so you can book a suitable and affordable flight yourself.

    • Of course, you can always ask additional questions in between or adjust something together in the proposal. We are happy to think along with you.
  • Can you help with booking extra nights or transfers?
    • For each trip, it is indicated whether you can add extra nights or transfers.
Not sure whether something is possible? Feel free to ask, we are happy to think along with you.
  • Can I still change my reservation (e.g. from e-bike to regular bike)?
    • Yes, this is usually possible without any problems.
    • Please inform us of changes as early as possible, so we can adjust the reservation.
    • Any adjustments will be processed when paying the remaining balance.

On the road: support & practical matters

  • How does luggage transport work?
    • Every morning, you leave your luggage at the reception of your accommodation around 10:00 (specific information can be found in the travel documents you receive from us). Your luggage is safely transported to the next hotel, where it will be ready for you by 16:00 at the latest, often even earlier.
You therefore only cycle with your pannier (if you wish).
  • How does support during the cycling trip work?
    • During your trip, we and our local partner are available with on-call support from 8:00 to 19:00.
    • You can contact us, among other things, when:
      • you are unable to continue cycling due to, for example, fatigue or an injury;
      • the weather is too bad to continue cycling safely and a transfer is required;
      • there are mechanical problems with your rental bike.
  • What happens if my bike has mechanical problems?
    • Each rental bike is supplied with a repair kit for minor issues along the way. If, for example, you have a puncture, try to repair it yourself first.
    • Unable to fix it yourself?
Then our local partner will come to assist you.

      • Assistance with normal wear and tear is free of charge.
      • Having a puncture repaired by our local partner usually involves an additional charge.
      • Only when damage occurs due to incorrect use may additional costs be charged.

Payment & cancellation policy

  • How can I pay?
    • International customers:
      • Credit card (additional costs)
      • Bank transfer
  • How does the deposit work?
    • After receiving the booking form and the details of all travellers, we reserve all services.
    • As soon as everything is confirmed, you receive an invoice with payment information (or a payment link for credit card or bank transfer).
    • The deposit amounts to 30% of the total amount.
  • When do I pay the remaining balance?
    • The remaining amount (70%) is payable eight weeks before the start of the trip.
You will receive a reminder from us by email in good time.
  • How does cancellation work?
    • You can find our full cancellation conditions here:
      Terms and Conditions

      • Article 9: Cancellation by the Traveller
      • Articel 12: Cancellation by the Organiser
  • How does cancellation work within a group or travel party?
    • A cancellation always goes via the main booker / organiser.
    • If travellers have paid per couple or individually, we can refund the amount directly to them.
    • You can find our full cancellation conditions here:
      Terms and Conditions

      • Article 9: Cancellation by the Traveller
      • Articel 12: Cancellation by the Organiser
  • Can couples or individual travellers pay separately?
