Cycling holidays in the hinterland of Malaga
Almost everyone who visits Andalusia seeking the sun flies into Malaga. This is a good choice for cyclists as well because an hour’s drive from the airport brings you to many worthwhile cycling areas. One is the town of Coin, west of Malaga. Patricia and Wim Spa started a bike company there in 2016 under the name Bikekick Cycling in Southern Spain.
Bikekick focuses on roadcycling and mountain bikers. The area around Coin offers the opportunity to climb considerably but also has flatter (but not completely flat) parts. Wim and Particia will create a tailored week-long bike trip for you. They arrange good rental bikes, attractive accommodation, a guide (usually Wim himself) and transport to and from the airport. The distance from Malaga to Coin is about 40 kilometers. If you have a partner that does not cycle, then the beaches of the Costa del Sol are not far away.
Multi-day trips from place to place
A concept that we don’t often see in Spain: cycling from place to place on a road bike. Bikekick offers you two options: a ride of 520 kilometers with 10,000 altimeters or one of 700 kilometers with 15,500 altimeters. Between the start and finish of your trip (both in Malaga) you will ride through the beautiful mountainous interior of Andalusia. You can ride at your own pace as each day ends with everyone meeting at the hotel.
